Jerrie was one of the four winners of our Makeover Contest. She’s a creative artist and savvy business woman. But she wasn’t sure what colors and styles were most flattering for herself. Many times we can see things on others, but because we are too close to something, we can’t see it on ourselves. Does that sound familiar?
As a personal stylist here in the Denver area, I explained to Jerrie that because of her light skin and hair color, lighter colors will be more flattering on her than black. She has pink undertones to her skin, so we choose a pink blouse under a tan jacket and Halogen slacks. The wardrobe consultant in me always looks for tapered waist lines on women rather than a boxy shape.
Stephen Schaller gave Jerrie an updated haircut that is much more flattering for her face structure. I gave Jerrie makeup lessons, beauty tips, and talked about skin care in our dry Colorado climate. What do you think of the result?
