Do you slump? You can fix that immediately — I mean right now! Know why bad posture makes us look old? Because many old people have bad posture.
Check your shoulders right now. Are they up by your ears? How about your back; is it curved over with your chest caved in? Does your head jut out from your neck? Ouch — your muscles are going to form around the bones if they are kept like that for long.
You will breathe better, digest easier, sleep sounder, look younger, appear thinner, and feel more confident with good posture. Seriously, all those benefits! Just look at the photo of the woman, here; same person!
And good posture is free! How many other things in life which have that many positive benefits are free?
Remind yourself every so often; shoulders down, back straight, tummy in.
When you are driving, straighten your posture at every stop light. At your desk, sit up straighter every time you change applications or go to the next email. When standing and walking, imagine your skeleton hanging from one thread from the ceiling. Keep reminding yourself until great posture is a habit, everyday, sitting, standing, and walking. You will feel fantastic and look amazing. Yea…that’s it!
